
Marion Center Swimmers Finish Successful Season at PIAA District 6 Championships
Marion Center High School swimmers delivered standout performances at the 2026 PIAA District 6 Swimming Championships, held February 20–21, with multiple top‑10 finishes, relay successes, and a podium appearance in the Girls’ 200 Individual Medley. Almost every Stingray swimmer posted their season best times at the meet. Kessler Leads the Way With Podium Finish
Freshman Jorjah Kessler secured Marion Center’s highest individual placement of the meet, finishing 5th in the Girls’ 200 Individual Medley (AA) with a time of 2:38.29, earning 10 team points.
Kessler also added strong performances in the 100 Butterfly, placing 9th (1:12.93, 4 pts), and contributed to both the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay squads.
Girls’ Relay Teams Earn Season Best Times
Marion Center’s girls’ relays posted impressive results across all three events:
- 200 Medley Relay — Reagan Storm (10), Kaylee Griffith (11), Lilly Schultz (12), Carissa Adkins (11) — 11th, 2:30.16 (4 pts)
- 200 Free Relay — Jorjah Kessler (9), Emma Griffith (9), Charleigh Swigart (11), Rowen Wagner (11) — 7th, 1:56.05 (14 pts)
- 400 Free Relay — Lindsey Reaugh (11), Eva Long (10), Jorjah Kessler (9), Rowen Wagner (11) — 6th, 4:21.58 (18 pts)
These relay performances accounted for 36 team points, contributing significantly to the team’s overall standing.
Additional Girls’ Individual Highlights
- Rowen Wagner (11) placed 10th in the 200 Free (2:21.53) and 13th in the 50 Free (28.48).
- Lilly Schultz (12) finished 12th in the 100 Fly (1:17.21).
- Charleigh Swigart (11) earned a T‑14th finish in the 50 Free (28.63).
- Emma Griffith (9) placed 27th in the 50 Free (29.93).
Boys’ Team Produces Strong Relay and Individual Finishes
The Marion Center boys also put together a successful meet, led by seniors Carson Wells, P.J. Shellhammer, Jack Cooper, and Seth Boring.
