Authorities say an elderly man driving the wrong way caused the fiery crash on I-70 early yesterday.
The 80-year-old drove several miles in the wrong direction before crashing his SUV into three tractor trailers in Hempfield Township. The wreck happened around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday and shut down the interstate for nearly eleven hours.
A driver of one of the rigs was hospitalized, while the other two drivers were treated on scene.
