PennDOT is asking the public to provide input on traffic safety and driving behaviors in an online survey.
That survey will be available from now until the end of the month. The survey will help inform PennDOT on how the Shapiro Administration can continue to improve traffic safety and save lives across the state. In 2024, the number of people killed on state roads was 1,127, which was a decrease of 82 from the year before and the lowest number since records started being kept in 1928. Preliminary numbers for 2025 show that trend continuing.
PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll said in a statement that while the decrease in the number of fatalities is good news, PennDOT needs the public’s help to continue the downward trend, as public feedback could potentially help save lives.
