A 48-year-old man is jailed after allegedly robbing a convenience store with a machete and then crashing his vehicle into a beer distributor to steal beer, police said.
William Dickun III, of Greensburg, is accused of entering a Uni-Mart on Broad Street in New Bethlehem around 9:20 a.m. Saturday, threatening a clerk with the weapon and stealing several packs of cigarettes before fleeing to Key Beverage, where he allegedly drove through the front of the building and took two cases of beer. Dickun was taken into custody following a joint investigation by Southern Clarion County Regional Police and state police and faces multiple felony charges, including robbery and burglary.
Dickun is awaiting a preliminary hearing before a district judge.
