BUDGET HEARINGS SCHEDULED AT STATE CAPITOL

Budget hearings have been scheduled to begin this month in Harrisburg before the appropriations committees of the House and Senate.  Both representative Jim Struzzi and Senator Joe Pittman are members of the respective committees, with Struzzi serving as the Republican Chair in the House.

The House will begin its budget hearings with the Department of Community and Economic Development in the morning and the Department of Revenue in the afternoon on February 19^th.

The Senate hearings will begin its hearings February 23^rd with both a morning and afternoon session with the Department of Education.

The State System of Higher Education will go before the House committee on February 20^th.  The Senate has not scheduled a hearing specifically with the State System, but will instead hear from four System schools, Millersville, East Stroudsburg, West Chester, and IUP, on March 3^rd.
