An extreme cold warning for our area remains in effect until late Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service predicts dangerously cold wind chills through the day and into tonight, going until 10:00 tomorrow morning when the advisory ends. A wind chill of -30 is expected, and that could bring with it dangerous conditions for those not properly bundled up, as frostbite could come in less than 30 minutes on exposed skin.
People are advised to dress in layers, including a hat, face mask and gloves if they have to go out.
Temperatures are expected to return to normal for this time of year, getting up to the 20s on Monday, and even the mid-40’s on Tuesday.
