Thursday night, the Indiana County Humane Society officially unveiled a new initiative to help bring funds in to help meet the needs of the agency.
The gala event to introduce the “Humane Heroes Circle” was held at Benjamin’s last night. The circle’s members make a minimum $1000 annual commitment to make sure that any funding gaps are covered, that according to Beth Finegan of the Humane Society.
The founders are Paula Good, Joyce Sharman and Clinton Smith, and they were the hosts of last night’s event. The formation of the group was inspired by what happened in 2025 when the society started the year with a deficit of over $100,000 and how the community rallied to close that gap. The mission of the Humane Heroes Circle will be to make sure that gap remains closed.
