The Pennsylvania Board of Nursing has suspended the license of a nurse from Westmoreland County who reportedly had an improper relationship with a patient at Torrance State Hospital.
The temporary suspension order was issued earlier this week for 40-year-old Dana Coxon of Penn Township. The petition for temporary suspension showed that a state prosecuting attorney indicated that Coxon had a sexual relationship with a patient who was in a treatment program for criminal sex offenders while she worked in that unit. She worked at Torrance from 2024 until her retirement in November of 2025.
Charges have not been filed in this case.
