Jeffery Ward Mock, 72, of Indiana, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Born January 22, 1954, in Indiana, PA, he was the son of the late Chester and Mary Bell (Wissinger) Mock. Jeffery was a 1972 graduate of Indiana High School. He proudly served in the United States National Guard from 1972 to 1978, with service at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Jeff began his career as a plumber in Indiana, PA, and was later recruited to Burgermeister and Bell in Owings Mills, Maryland, where he worked as a Crew Supervisor until his retirement due to disability in 2005.
Jeffery was fun-loving, kind-hearted, and lived to make people laugh. He never missed a chance to tell a good story or crack a joke. He loved his family deeply and found joy in tending his flower gardens, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and working with his hands creating things from wood. He enjoyed animals, playing horseshoes, and bowling, and had a special gift for making lifelong friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (McCracken) Mock; daughters Erica Mock (Shawn) of Shelocta and Andrea Pritt (Jeff); stepsons John Morris (Sandy) of Home, PA, and Tim Morris (Desiree) of Indiana, PA; brother Randy Mock (Paula) of Hempstead, MD; sisters Janet Vore (Tim) of Indiana, PA, Joyce Stahlman (Roger) of Home, PA, Jane Clinton (Roy) of Red Lion, PA, Tracey Plowman (Chuck) of Indiana, PA, Amy Mock of Ligonier, PA, Brenda Mock of Ligonier, PA, and Debbie (Kosonavich) Mock of Homer City, PA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 21 nieces and nephews, and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Debra Mock and Barb Davis, brother-in-law George Davis, brother Chet Mock, and nephew Mike Fennell.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory. A small service will be immediately following the viewing at 7:00 PM.
