Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council heard an update on the efforts borough employees put in during the snowstorm and cold snap last week.
Borough Manager Nicole Sipos said that road crews were out during the storm on Sunday as over a foot of snow fell that day, and the extreme cold prevented it from melting.
Spios and members of council praised citizens who became snow angels to help dig out their neighbors.
She added that the borough’s salt supplies are still doing well after the storm.
Also during the meeting, council approved awarding the contract for the Washington Street Bridge project to Ray I. Winters and Sons in the amount of $49,928.02
