Indiana Regional Medical Center is receiving national recognition for its heart care.
Pittsburgh-based Corazon, a national leader in cardiovascular consulting and accreditation, has awarded the hospital’s Cath/PCI, CPC, and Peripheral Vascular Intervention programs its Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence designation. The honor follows a detailed review process measuring programs against national clinical guidelines and state regulations. Corazon says IRMC met its accreditation standards and demonstrated a strong commitment to high-quality cardiac care.
Corazon has worked with more than 700 hospitals nationwide on heart and vascular programs and is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as an accrediting agency for PCI programs.
For Indiana County residents, the designation signals nationally recognized heart care close to home.
