Famed weather prognosticator, Punxsutawney Phil, is set to give his Groundhog Day prediction this morning.
The rodent will let the nation know if there will be an early spring or more cold and snow to come just before 7:30 this morning in the annual ceremony at Gobbler’s Knob. Pennsylvania Dutch superstition is behind the ritual of observing whether the groundhog sees its shadow each year.
A shadow means six more weeks of winter weather. No shadow means an early arrival for spring.
