A town hall discussion is planned for later this month on a proposal to ban cell phones in all Pennsylvania public schools.
State Representatives Mandy Steele and Jill Cooper are working on House Bill 1814, along with some of their fellow legislators in Harrisburg. The measure would require students across the state to have cell phones stored where they cannot access them during classes, with some possible exceptions based on medical needs.
The town hall on the topic is planned for the evening of February 24h at Cooper-Siegal Community Library in Fox Chapel.
