Some medical workers in Western Pennsylvania are calling for an end to the violence that has stemmed from President Trump’s immigration crackdown.
SEIU Healthcare PA organized a vigil in honor of Alex Pretti near the Fred Rogers Memorial in Pittsburgh in Saturday. Pretti is the VA intensive care nurse who was shot to death by Customs and Border Protection agents in Minneapolis on January 24th.
Representatives with Casa San Jose, an organization that provides support for the Pittsburgh-area Latino community, were at Saturday’s gathering as well.
