At that Indiana County Chamber of Commerce board meeting last week, Byron Stauffer of the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development reported that construction of the pedestrian bridge over Route 22 in Burrell Township should be finished this spring. He also said that Gibson-Thomas Engineering is developing conceptual drawings for the Pine Ridge Road Connector Project from the pedestrian bridge to Pine Ridge Park in Burrell Township, and an analysis is underway of the Blaire Road corridor from the 119 Trail Tunnel to Black Lick/Saylor Park.
Stauffer also reported that the county Planning Commission recently approved conditionally a land development at the Route 119 Business Park in Center Township, for an RV park that would serve workers at the Homer City Redevelopment construction project.
Finally, Stauffer said construction is underway at the Jimmy Stewart Airport on a 12,000-square foot corporate hangar.
