After a relatively quiet week, fire crews were busy on Friday with several calls for assistance
A structure fire was reported at 7:51 AM on Robinson Street in West Wheatfield Township. Bolivar, Clyde, Fairfield Township and New Florence firefighters were sent out along with the county’s Rapid Intervention Team and Citizens Ambulance. Details on this call have not been released.
The second structure fire call of the day was at 1:20 PM on Old Glory Road in White Township that brought Indiana, Creekside, Homer City, and Coral-Graceton fire departments out along with the Rapid Intervention Team and Citizens Ambulance. Initial reports said that a heater underneath a trailer home caught some insulation on fire. No other details have been released.
A vehicle crash was also reported yesterday on Route 22 East in East Wheatfield Township at 12:32 PM. Armagh/East Wheatfield and Clyde fire departments were on-scene with state police and Citizen’s Ambulance.
