A woman is dead after crashing her car into the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
Officials say the vehicle veered off the Parkway East and ended up in the water between the Tenth Street and Hot Metal bridges shortly before 4:30 p.m. Divers pulled the woman out of the river and she was resuscitated on-site before being transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The woman, identified as 31-year-old Jacinta Stevens, died late Thursday night at the hospital.
