Steelers coach Mike McCarthy continues to fill out his coaching staff, and although the team still has not announced any names, other sources continue to fill in the blanks.
Multiple sources continue to report that Patrick Graham will become the defensive coordinator, leaving the Raiders for Pittsburgh, and ESPN reports that former Steeler defensive back Jason Simmons, who is Washington’s defensive passing game coordinator, will join the Steelers in a “prominent defensive role.”
Other sources report that Saints quarterbacks coach Scott Tolzein has emerged as a candidate for offensive coordinator, Tom Arth will stay on as quarterbacks coach, James Campen will be the offensive line coach, and Ramon Chinyoung will join the Steelers as running backs coach. On defense, longtime McCarthy assistant Scott McCurley will stay with the Steelers as inside linebackers coach.
All of those coaches have past connections to McCarthy.
