GIRLS BASKETBALL
Cambria Heights dropped Portage on Tuesday night, 57-44. Brienna Kirsch led the Highlanders with 20 points, Lilly Karlheim scored 16, and Kinley Rogal 12. For the Mustangs, Kendall Bednarski scored 11.
United drubbed Northern Cambria, 80-9.
At 10-4, United is a half-game ahead of Portage for the top spot in the Heritage Conference East and those two teams will play tonight at United. If the weather holds, the Mustangs will play four games in four nights, facing Conemaugh Township Thursday and Northern Cambria Friday. United will play three games in three nights.
WRESTLING
West Shamokin collected four wins by fall, one by decision, and one by major decision in a 49-19 win over Knoch. Winning by fall were Matthew Shaffer, E.J. Powers, Tucker Walker, and Elijah Harkleroad. The win by decision was by Ryan Booher, and Bearin Powers won his match by major decision.
