The preliminary hearing for a man accused of trying to steal cars in Homer City borough has been delayed.
No word yet on when the new hearing date will be for Scipio Griffin. The Johnstown man faces charges of robbery of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, evading arrest, simple assault and other crimes for the incident on December 22nd. State police say he tried to take two different cars North Main Street. On one occasion, he injured a victim as he pulled her out. After a second attempt failed, he climbed into the bed of a pickup truck and fled after it stopped at the borough building and police headquarters.
He was found near Ridge Avenue and Route 119 in Center Township and after a chase on foot, police had to use a taser to take him into custody.
