A Clearfield woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting hospital staff and threatening police at Penn Highlands over the weekend, authorities said.
Clearfield Regional Police reported that 36-year-old Helaina M. Haidet struck a nurse Saturday evening and later became aggressive while still being evaluated, threatening to take an officer’s gun and shoot them before hitting an officer.
Haidet was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. She was jailed in Clearfield County with bail set at $30,000, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4.
