Opera superstar and Indiana native Renee Fleming is the latest to cancel her upcoming appearances at the Trump-Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
She was to have appeared with the National Symphony Orchestra at an upcoming concert, but has decided to step down from the concert in May due to what was called “scheduling conflicts” by the venue. The Trump-Kennedy Center website says they will have a new soloist come in to take her spot.
Her decision comes in the wake of President Trump ousting previous leadership and the announcement the of the center’s renaming and her stepping down as the “Artistic Director At Large.”
