Like Indiana did Monday night, the River Valley School Board meeting will be held remotely tonight due to the reports of inclement weather.
An access link will be posted on the district website, www.rivervalleysd.org by 1:00 this afternoon. The meeting will also be available to watch via the district’s YouTube channel. On the agenda for tonight is a resolution for the district’s Act 1 index from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. That resolution will say that the district will not raise taxes above the state-mandated level.
The board will also look at hiring Brian Higginbottom as the River Valley High School principal and naming Richard Munsell the principal for Blairsville Elementary. Also on the agenda is the hiring of a full-time security officer and a resolution concerning the district’s participation in the America 250 PA fife and drum corps.
The meeting will start at 7:00 tonight.
