A 71-year-old man from Westmont, Pennsylvania, died Sunday after suffering a heart attack while clearing snow outside his home during a winter storm, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m., and the man was pronounced dead at his residence.
Officials said it is the first storm-related death reported in Cambria County during the current storm and urged residents, especially older adults and those with health conditions, to use caution, take frequent breaks and avoid strenuous activity in cold, snowy conditions.
