After two previous attempts to play the “Sideline Cancer” doubleheader were postponed (one by a water line break, the other by weather), the United and Homer-Center basketball teams finally played on Saturday, with the Lions sweeping the Wildcats.

In the boys game, Homer-Center gave a valiant effort against the undefeated Lions, railing by only two after the first quarter and by five at the half, but the steady pressure of United’s defense eventually took its toll.
