Arturs Silovs stopped 30 of 32 shots by the Oilers to improve to 9-6-2 on the season. Muse says Silovs came up big when the game could have swung in Edmonton’s direction.
Defenseman Erik Karlsson was activated from injured reserve and logged 19:58 of ice time. Defenseman Ryan Graves was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury, opening a roster spot for Karlsson. Kris Letang missed a second straight game with an undisclosed upper body injury.
The Penguins are 3-0 on their western road swing, which concludes with a faceoff shortly after 6 o’clock on Sunday evening in Vancouver.
