The incoming snowstorm this weekend has forced the cancellation of an event at the Indiana Theater concerning the Homer City Redevelopment project.
The group Concerned Residents of Western PA, also known as CROW, had scheduled a community gathering this Sunday but that was moved to February 1st at 1:00 PM in light of the heavy snow forecast for this weekend. The “Homer City Plant and AI Data Center Community Gathering” will feature three panelists Nina Victoria of Washington County, a Community Advocate from The Center for Coalfield Justice; Jay Ting Walker of Shadyside in Allegheny County, Outreach Coordinator with the Clear Air Council; and Katriana Marquez of Pittsburgh, Civic Engagement Mobilizer from the environmental group PennFuture.
The group formed in the Fall of 2025 as a “regional group” that has questions and wants answers, which it says Homer City Redevelopment has not been willing to provide. Homer City Redevelopment is not involved in this meeting.
