A Maryland man was taken into custody by Indiana Borough Police yesterday in connection with a break-in.
30-year-old Detroien Trezmen Hobbs of Baltimore was arrested on charges of attempted homicide, burglary, aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime after breaking into a residence in the 1100 block of Oak street just before 9 PM Wednesday evening. When police arrived to the scene, they forced entry through a locked front door and found the 28-year-old female victim, Hobbs, and an uninjured witness. The victim was found to have multiple stab wounds to her face, chest, and arm, prompting life-saving measures to be taken on-scene.
The victim was transported from the scene by Citizens’ Ambulance service. No word on their condition at this time.
Hobbs was transported to Indiana County Jail awaiting arraignment before district judge Susan Steffee.
