While many today are dealing with slick roads and snowy conditions, the weekend looks to have more intense snow and colder temperatures.
The National Weather Service has scheduled a Winter Storm Watch that will run from 7:00 PM Saturday to 1:00 PM the following Monday for Indiana, Westmoreland, Jefferson and Armstrong Counties. They expect moderate to major impacts during the weekend with periods of moderate to heavy snowfall and significant accumulations possible. They feel that travel at some points this weekend may be impossible, and that could run through the Monday morning commute.
The advisory says that people should slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 511.
