GIRLS BASKETBALL
Penns Manor cruised past Northern Cambria, 53-17. Clara Henry scored 18 points and had 8 rebounds. Jillian Kuzemchak had 11 points and Adia Lieb scored 8 with 10 boards.
Two Marion Center players had double-doubles as the Stingers walloped Conemaugh Valley, 72-37. Alivia Ruddock scored 23 points with 10 rebounds and Macie Miller scored 21 with 12 assists. Natalie Black scored 15 points.
Portage trailed West Shamokin by four entering the fourth quarter, but made up the deficit over the final eight minutes to tie the game, then outscored the Wolves 11-3 in overtime for a 51-43 win. Kendall Bednarski led the way for the Mustangs with 19 points and Mya Burda scored 11. For West Shamokin, Aubrey Reefer scored 18 and Madi Keirn 10.
Purchase Line topped Conemaugh Township, 50-32.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Kiski Area’s Landyn Artman scored with two seconds left to tie the game, and the Cavaliers then outscored Indiana by three points in overtime to beat the Indians, 60-57. Aaron Webb scored 21 for Indiana, one more than Kiski’s DJ Lindenfelser.
HOCKEY
Canon-McMillan shut out Indiana, 6-0.
