The Penguins got off to a great start on their four-game West Coast road trip, outskating the Seattle Kraken, 6-3. Connor Dewar scored a short-handed goal and added an empty-netter. Defensemen Parker Wotherspoon and Brett Kulak, along with forwards Justin Brazeau, and Rickard Rakell, all scored goals. Playing his 1,400th career game, Sidney Crosby had two assists. And goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped 20 of 23 shots for the win.
Coach Dan Muse likes getting offense from unexpected sources, and vice versa.
Muse says the Penguins didn’t panic when the Kraken tied the game at 2 in the second period.
The Pens will play back-to-back games tomorrow in Calgary and Thursday in Edmonton.
