The Steelers’ Cam Heyward was named second-team All-Pro yesterday by the Associated Press. It’s his sixth All-Pro honor. The 15-year veteran has been a first-teamer four times and a second-teamer twice.
Heyward was named All-Pro in spite of not making the Pro Bowl this season. He was also named first-team All-Pro by Pro Football Focus last week, finishing the regular season fourth on the team in total tackles with 78, of which 38 were solo, and nine were tackles for a loss. He had six passes defensed, three and a half sacks and a forced fumble.
The Steelers will play the Houston Texans tomorrow night to conclude the NFL Wild Card weekend.
