It was an active Saturday for Indiana County’s first responders, with calls including utility lines down on Old Indiana Road in Burrell Township. Blairsville and Blacklick fire departments responded. Tunnelton firefighters were dispatched for a structure fire in Armstrong County.
Commodore firefighters were summoned for an accident on Route 286 East in Green Township at 6:30 last night. Scanner traffic indicated a one-vehicle rollover crash involving an SUV with four occupants, with the vehicle off the highway at the intersection with Taylorsville Road. There was reported entrapment and one person injured. The roadway was temporarily closed.
Indiana firefighters were dispatched for a possible transformer fire along Wayne Avenue and later were sent for an automatic fire alarm on South Ben Franklin Road.
