At the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl last night, Curt Cignetti and the #1 Indiana Hoosiers obliterated fifth-seeded Oregon 56-22 in the Semifinal Round at the Peach Bowl from Atlanta. Fernando Mendoza tossed five touchdowns, and Indiana’s Defense swarmed Oregon from the jump, including a pick six as D’angelo Ponds picked off Dante More at the Oregon 25 on the first drive of the game.
Former IUP and current Hoosiers coach Curt Cignetti says that first interception set the tone for the game.
Cignetti says they have a mature group of players moving on to the National Championship.
Indiana will take on #10 Miami in the school’s first-ever championship appearance on January 19th.
