A woman from Brenizer is facing charges of corruption of minors for an incident that happened last Friday.
Reports say that 41-year-old Tina Marie Rose was in a Westmoreland County courtroom for a hearing on firearm-related charges when State Police arrested her in connection with a theft of an ATV. Police said that she and three other teenagers stole the ATV around 1:00 AM on Friday, April 8th from a nearby resident. Court documents show that State Police said that she provided the three teens who helped push the ATV away with alcohol and marijuana. When police questioned Rose, she led them to where the ATV was left, but did not admit to helping with the theft. Two of the teens told police of Rose’s actions.
Rose had been free on $5000 bond on charges of providing false information to a firearms dealer and to police for a handgun she bought in January and reported stolen five days later. She later admitted that she purchased the gun for 18-year-old Zachary Miller of Derry.
On the new charges, District Judge Kelly Tua Hammers denied bond for Rose, saying that she violated her prior bond conditions, and she is now in Westmoreland County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing on the new complaints on April 20th.
