At their meeting Monday night, the Homer City Borough Council swore in the new mayor.
Kyle Cobaugh won the election in November against former mayor Arlene Wanatosky. Cobaugh says that he’s feeling well prepared for his new role, thanks to Wanatosky.
When asked about some of the issues he wants to take care of during his time in office, Cobaugh showed excitement towards tackling the revitalization of some of the older parts of town.
Other members sworn in were President Joe Izzei and Vice President Matt Black, both returning to the role from the previous year.
In other business, council approved their meeting schedule for this year. Their regular meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm, which follows the same schedule as last year.
