Amy Lynn Flugga (née Landis) of Indiana, PA fought a courageous, yearlong battle with cancer and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 2, 2026, one day after her 43rd. birthday. As she insisted, she passed left this life at home surrounded by family.
Amy was the devoted and loving wife of Kenneth Flugga and the mother of Ava age 17, Mason age 16 and Leah, age 10.
Born in Lancaster, she was the beloved daughter of Michael and Kathy Landis. Amy was raised in the Millersville area and was a graduate of Penn Manor High School. After high school, Amy became a Certified Nursing Assistant but soon found losing patients she had grown to care deeply for, simply too difficult. Amy enrolled in York Technical School and graduated with honors with a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. After graduation, Amy spent several years on the culinary staff of Black Rock Retreat in Quarryville.
Kenny’s job then took the family to western Pennsylvania where they settled near Indiana, PA and where Amy realized her dream of having a small farm. Amy loved animals as a child and that love of animals continued in Indiana where they had horses, pigs, goats, and other farm animals. Amy was at peace most in the barn, caring for the animals. Amy never pursued a culinary career again, instead doing what she found most gratifying and fulling, and what seemed to come naturally to her, being a stay-at-home mom. As much as Amy loved her animals, she loved her family more. Her love had no end. Amy was devoted to Kenny and to Ava, Mason and Leah and they were devoted to her.
In addition to her husband and children, Amy is survived by her parents and a sister, Erin of York, PA.
A memorial service in Lancaster is being planned. Details will be announced when finalized.
