Following a nation-wide search, the university has named Peter Holden as the new member of University President Dr. Michael Driscoll’s cabinet. He comes to IUP from Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, Massachusetts where he was the school’s Chief Financial Officer. He has also served in several administrative, finance and operations positions with colleges in New England, Washington, D.C. and in Oklahoma. He will supervise the Office of Human Resources, Public Safety and University Police; the Offices of Budget, Finance, Printing and Postal Services, Facilities management, and Engineering and construction.
In a statement, President Driscoll said that Holden is an excellent fit for the position not only for his extensive experience, but for his commitment to student success.
Holden takes over for interim VP Larry Wakefield, who served in the position since March of last year. Holden’s first day will be January 26th.
