BASKETBALL
The Indiana girls (11-1) took their first loss of the season yesterday, going out of conference (and out of state) to fall, 48-31 to Southern Garrett (Maryland) (6-3). Addy Hutton led Indiana with 15 points.
WRESTLING
At the Bo Wood Tournament at Indiana High, Mifflinburg won the team title, followed by Plum, Seneca Valley, Indiana, and West Mifflin. Of the other local schools, West Shamokin finished 12th of the 21 schools.
Making the championship finals for Indiana but finishing second were Charles Spells and Bowen Blystone, while West Shamokin’s Rocko Buffone also finished second.
Third place winners included Indiana’s Lewis Sears, Rowan Grantz, and Jackson Higgins.
In a Saturday matchup at the Bloody Run Duals, Glendale downed United, 54-18. All of the matches on the mat were won by fall, with Glendale edging the Lions 4-3.
Glendale’s winners were Domanic Kaufman, Daniel Seilhamer, Lawson Richards, and Daniel Williams.
United’s winners were Josef Garshnick, Connor Riffer, and Max McConville.
Glendale also won six matches by forfeit to United’s one.
