First responders only had three calls to deal with on New Year’s Day.
The first was at 11:21 AM on Route 286 East in Montgomery Township. Commodore Fire Department was called out for what was termed a possible electrical fire. A smoke investigation was initiated at 1:25 PM yesterday by Saltsburg firefighters at a location on Salt Street.
The third call involved Elderton firefighters as they were sent to Red Bird Drive in Armstrong Township at 5:11 PM.
