Indiana Borough Police arrested three people for simple assault and harassment in connection with an incident on December 28th.
Officials were called to an apartment building in the 100 block of North 10th Street` just after 7 pm for the reported assault. When police arrived, they identified the victims, along with multiple witnesses, and the individuals who were later identified as suspects. After further investigation, it was found the 51-year-old Albert Phillips Jr. of Indiana struck the victim with a closed fist, causing physical injury. While the victim was on the ground, 51-year-old Cynthia George and 50-year-old Rebecca Dunmire, both of Indiana, caused further injury.
A second victim also reported being struck by Dunmire. Both Phillips Jr. and George are charged in criminal complaints filed with District Judge Tony Sottile’s office for simple assault and harassment. Dunmire is charged with a non-traffic citation for harassment, also through Sottile’s office.
