Bernice (Williams) Stevens, 87, of Blairsville, PA (Brenizer) passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
The daughter of Crawford Williams, Sr. and Charlie Mae (Harris) Williams, she was born July 30, 1930 in Cokeville, PA.
Mrs. Stevens worked at Torrance State Hospital for 23 years, retiring in 1989.
Her grandchildren were an important part of her life. She loved to cook for her family at holidays and go to casinos.
Surviving are two daughters, Zandra M. Clayton and Ramona L. Stevens, both of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Sabrina Clayton, William Clayton, Chianti Franklin, Derrell McBroom and Keith McBroom Jr.; eight great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Vonnie Williams and Mary Williams, both of Blairsville and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H. Stevens in 1999; son, Sam Stevens; daughter, Deborah Price; three brothers, Crawford Williams, Jr., Ernest Williams and Charlie Williams; five sisters, Alvie Massey, Elizabeth Willis, Gladys Quinn, Louise Hall and Alberta Brown.
The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Wednesday the time of the funeral service at Christ Temple Ministries, Brenizer, with Rev. Calvin McCoy officiating.

Pennsylvania is one of fifteen states that does not require any form of identification in order to vote. Meanwhile, eight states require photo ID in order to vote with no exceptions. What should Pennsylvania do?
