The Pennsylvania Lottery is celebrating two big Powerball wins from the Christmas Eve drawing, totaling more than one-point-one million dollars.
A one-million-dollar ticket was sold at Pittston Candy and Cigar Company in Luzerne County, while a one-hundred-thousand-dollar Powerball ticket with Power Play was sold at Martino’s BI-LO in Brockway, Jefferson County. Both retailers will receive bonus payments for selling the winning tickets.
The historic Powerball run also benefited Pennsylvania seniors, generating more than 56 million dollars for programs serving older residents.
More than 334-thousand other Powerball tickets in Pennsylvania won prizes in the drawing.
The Powerball jackpot has now reset to an estimated 20 million dollars for Saturday’s drawing. Players are reminded to check every ticket and sign the back of winning tickets immediately.
