Michael J. Yackuboskey, 85, of Indiana, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at his home.
A son of the late Michael and Anna Yackuboskey, he was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Williamsport.
Mr. Yackuboskey proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Fisher Scientific and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Ernest, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and also worked bingo. Mr. Yackuboskey enjoyed working in his flower garden and vegetable garden, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce E. Arnick Yackuboskey, of Indiana; six children: Brenda J. Yackuboskey, of Indiana; Daniel Yackuboskey (Annette), of Homer City; Kenneth P. Yackuboskey, of Latrobe; Veronica L. Yackuboskey, of Virginia; Marie Rearick (Jonathan), of Indiana; and Anita E. Yackuboskey (Bob), of Indiana; a sister, Bertha Castigleone, of PA; eight grandchildren: Alaine Pennington (Greg), Courtney Rearick (Tyler Caruso), David Rearick, Andrea Rearick, Stephen Yackuboskey, Scott Yackuboskey, Shayla King (Andy) and Evan Yackuboskey; two great-grandchildren: Grady Pennington and Everett Pennington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his other siblings.
Visitation is private. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection in Ernest, with Fr. George Saletrik officiating. Interment will be private in St. Bernard Cemetery.
