State police are investigating yet another identity theft in the county involving the state’s unemployment system. Troopers say the investigation was started on April 11th when a 32-year-old Cherry Tree man reportedly received mail showing that someone used his information to apply for unemployment benefits. No money was reported taken.
State Police are investigating a drug case that stemmed from a theft call in White Township on April 4th. Troopers say at 10:50 AM, they were dispatched to the Walmart on Oakland Avenue for a possible retail theft. After further investigation, a 37-year-old Indiana woman was arrested not on theft, but on charges of drug possession. The suspect’s name was not released.
State police are investigating the circumstances surrounding some cash found at the Indiana Mall last Saturday. Troopers say that they were called to the mall at noon on April 9th for money that was found by Mall officials.
