BASEBALL
Indiana’s Steven Budash worked a bases-loaded walk to key a four-run eighth inning in a 10-6 section win over Highlands. Gavin Homer was 4-for-5 with a double and five RBIs, Lincoln Trusal homered and tripled and Budash was 2-for-3 with a double. Zach Tortorella had two hits as well as Indiana raised its record to 4-2, and 2-1 in the section.
SOFTBALL
West Shamokin scored single runs in the first and second innings, two in the third, four in the fourth, and another in the fifth to down United, 9-0. The Lions were held to just one hit, a single by Abby McConville. West Shamokin did not supply any stats.
River Valley stomped Blacklick Valley, 13-1. Brin Gardener was 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs. Lilly Buckles and Brooklyn Furman each drove in two. Hannah Foust struck out nine in her three innings in the pitching circle.
