Police in Armstrong County are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing man who is believed to be in danger.
Manor Township Police say Cory Dominic Cook, 31, was last seen around 8 a.m. Thursday. He was wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans at the time.
A Manor Township Police Department Facebook post says Cook is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing between 170 and 190 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. The social media post says he is experiencing paranoid delusions and hallucinations and is considered to be in danger.
According to the post, his rental car was found abandoned along the Rails to Trails near Graff Bridge and his direction of travel is unknown. The last known contact with Cook was Friday (12/19) at approximately 6:50 am by phone/text. It is not believed that he has his cellphone with him at this time.
Pennsylvania Search and Rescue is assisting in search efforts, which began Saturday. Increased foot traffic and search-and-rescue dogs are expected along Rails to Trails between Water Street and the Kittanning Sewage Plant. Residents are asked to avoid the area to allow volunteers and dogs to operate under optimal conditions.
Anyone with information regarding Cook’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact Manor Township Police at (724) 548-5105 and ask for Sgt. Ashley Rensel or Officer Stephen Daub.
