Indiana Borough Police are currently looking for three people charged with forgery and theft.
Police say that in one incident from May 29th of this year, 18-year-old Khalil Johnson of Chicago intercepted a check in the mail, altered it and deposited it into his own account. The check was sent to someone living in the 1100 block of School Street. In the other incident, police were called in on August 25th for a report of theft and forgery in the 300 block of North 4th Street, and discovered that 58-year-old Kenneth McCraney of Tukwila, Washington deposited two intercepted checks into his account while Kou Hang of St. Paul, Minnesota deposited four different checks into her account.
Charges were filed against all three earlier this week, with Johnson facing an additional charge of receiving stolen property. All three are currently wanted by police.
