A threatening note describing a bomb threat prompted the evacuation of Brookville Area High School on Thursday morning, authorities said.
Police said the note was found in a hallway, leading school officials to evacuate students and staff to Hickory Grove Elementary School before dismissing them for the day as a precaution. Other district schools remained open, and officials had not yet decided whether high school classes would resume Friday.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, with a couple of persons of interest identified and charges expected.
