State police have issued reports on two crashes that happened earlier this week.
One crash was on Monday in Brush Valley Township. Police say at 1:32 PM, a four-door sedan driven by 70-year-old Edward Poder of Johnstown slid off the road due to snowy conditions and hit a street sign on Route 259 near Old Mission Road. The car was disabled, but he was not hurt.
Another one-vehicle crash was reported on Tuesday. Troopers were sent to Route 553 in Cherryhill Township at 6:04 PM for a crash that involved a car driven by 22-year-old Michael Nagle of Carrolltown and a deer. After hitting the deer, Nagle’s car went off the road, spun out on the shoulder due to the snow, and hit a wood post outside a home. The car was disabled. Nagle refused medical attention at the time.
